NEW music documentary asks...”What is the state of independent music?”
STATE OF INDEPENDENT: All About the Music?
Takes look at the current state of independent music, where the artists have the power...or do they?
After more than a year of filming, we have put together a trailer to help raise more money to finish production, as well as the post-production process ahead and the festival circuit to follow.
Click on the link to view the SOI Trailer
SOI is a feature-length documentary that reveals how within a relatively short period of time, the rise of new media and growth of technology has radically transformed the independent music industry. The internet & technology now provides the unknown artist with unparalleled access to a world stage, with unprecedented ease to be seen and heard like never before! This technology also provides fans with the power to not only interact directly with artists, but also the opportunity to participate in artist development in ways that once was the domain of industry insiders. As this shift in the power structure has caused much upheaval in the record industry, it also provides a new paradigm that when adapted by the powers that be, may signal the end of this golden era of independent music…and the beginning of a new era…driven by technology, but ...is it all about the music???!
